  • Moosehead Cedar Log Homes is a Maine-based company that designs and supplies premium cedar log home packages for customers across the U.S. and internationally.

  • We operate out of Northern Maine and ship log home packages nationwide.

  • We’ve been in business for 40 years, with a reputation for quality, transparency, and customer care.

  • We use Northern White Cedar, offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty, and provide personalized design support from start to finish.

Packages & Materials

  • Packages typically include cedar log walls, subfloor and loft floor system(s), roof system, windows, doors, interior framing and paneling, exterior decks/porches, and detailed construction plans.  Actual package content can be customized to fit the client’s needs.

  • At Moosehead we use Northern White Cedar, known for its durability, insulation abilities, resistance to decay, and natural beauty.

  • Not typically. Moosehead prefers to naturally air dry over time, achieving the desired moisture content and material stability, without subjecting the logs to the non-natural kiln process. However, in situations where kiln-drying is needed (export), we have that ability.

  • Yes. Shell-only packages are available for buyers who want to finish the interior themselves or with local contractors.

Pricing & Warranty

  • Costs vary based on size, design, and materials. We offer budget planning support to help you estimate total costs.

  • While we don't directly finance homes, we can assist with documentation and referrals to log-home-friendly lenders.

  • Yes. Moosehead offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on our cedar log components.

  • Moosehead provides a detailed materials quote, including delivery to the construction site, with a variety of upgrade options. State Sales taxes (if applicable) are calculated and included on the final invoice.

Design & Planning

  • Yes. Moosehead offers fully customizable floorplans to match your lifestyle, budget, and site conditions.

  • Yes. You can choose from a wide range of pre-designed plans or modify them to suit your needs.

  • Absolutely. Moosehead can collaborate with your architect or designer to bring your vision to life.

  • Yes. Our team provides design support to help you create or adjust plans that fit your goals and building site.

Construction & Delivery

  • Moosehead supplies the materials and plans. Construction is typically handled by local builders or contractors.

  • While Moosehead does not recommend specific builders, many of our dealers are builders themselves or they have developed relationships with experienced builders in their areas.  Further, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive construction manual and in-house construction support, to assist those new to working with our log home products.

  • Yes. Packages can be shipped across the U.S. and internationally, with logistics support provided.

  • Most packages are delivered within 6-8 weeks after final design approval.
